Aon UK Limited, along with Comsure Group and Neon Sapphire Underwriting Limited, will be hosting an event for the director community, offering sessions focussed at both executive and non-executive positions.

With four drop in sessions, you can attend individual sessions or the whole event. Please confirm which sessions you wish to attend on registration.

8.30am Session 1 - Jersey Financial Services Commission

Jon Stevens, Senior Advisor, Policy and Pia Holm, Senior Manager, Regulatory Maintenance and Reactive Supervison from the JSFC will open the event with a talk on the following topics:

  • Upcoming policy change
  • What they have seen from a regulatory viewpoint in the last 18 months through visits or cases
  • What does the JFSC expect from a good director (with red flags too)

9.15 am Session 2 - Compliance and Claims

Mathew Beale from Comsure will talk about the

  1. areas of corporate and individual liability that may not be on your NED (or the boards) radar but should be
  2. examples of good and bad NED behaviour

Ed Smerdon of Aon UK Limited will share stories of claim situations faced by the director community, and what defences may be available.

10.15am Session 3 - JFSC PII Guidelines

Aon UK Limited will host a session for executive and non-executive directors concentrating on what a board needs to consider from a JFSC PII guideline perspective. Questions to ask of their broker and of their investment advisor, administrators or data processors; what the policy wording needs to contain, what exclusions are considered market standard, and other requirements.

11.15am Session 4 - Insurance for INED's

Will be a session aimed at the non-executive community. It focusses on an insurance product for individual NEDs, offering protection before or after any insurance purchased at board level depending on individual circumstance. Premium banding indications by insured limit and board positions will be shared. The insurer will also be available for a question and answer session.

All sessions will be followed by a 15 minute coffee break to allow further discussions to take place.
